Complex Waves

All the images shown here are created by combining various complex filters and applying them to a near-grid. The filters are complex (compressing) sine waves and the usual geometric transformations of rotation and translation. The top image is the most elaborate, applying three separate complex  sine waves, to the circular coordinates at different locations in the original image. These wave structures were my attempt to create some of the beauty that Maya Lin has created in her architecture, not least Wave Field.

The eventual image is a vector file which will render perfectly at any size, although the above images are jpgs created at just 300dpi.
